Confidentiality Policy
The confidentiality policy is intended to ensure that all ACFOMI Employment Services users comply with provincial and federal laws regarding privacy and data protection and the security of customers, employers and staff files.
Thus, this policy assumes that all collected personal information, paper records and electronic documents will be subject to provincial and federal applicable laws.
For this confidentiality policy, “personal information” means all information that identifies yourself or gives someone the possibility to identify you with it.
As for the agreements signed with donor agencies, representatives from different levels of government will have access to your personal information. However, these representatives will also be subjected to the same provincial and federal laws as for the exchange of your personal information.
According to an agreement with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU), the ACFOMI Employment Services have to make the records available to the Ministry for inspection, investigation and verification.
We will note down your personal information in your file and will stay confidential.
Only the staff at the ACFOMI Employment Services, the donor agencies’ representatives and you will have access to this information.
We will keep all collected personal information for the services provided in a locked file cabinet in a locked room in the premises of the ACFOMI Employment Services.
Lastly, with respect to this confidentiality policy, your client record will be destroyed after being inactive for seven (7) years.
